Out now: Jeff Samuel´s new EP "Chloe
Trapez 092
Jeff Samuel is back on Trapez! After a break and several releases on other labels such as Frankie, his a-side track Chloe's Brain is again a cool nightmare of small ghosts coming alive, a weird piece of funk that works well with the releases out on Trapez at the moment. The Times on the flipside seems heavier. The production is relentless and strong, stillquirky but a whole lot more powerful in this respect.
Curveball the first digital bonus track, is probably the straightest track of the whole release presenting itself stronger in the way of a powerful tool which has already rocked several dance floors during Jeffs live sets! The second bonus mix comes from Jacob London from Seattle Washington, USA. The duo is well known from their releases on Om Records (San Francisco), Dotbleep (Chicago), Doubledown (San Diego), U-Freqs (UK) and Derrick Carter & Luke Solomon's popular Classic Records (UK) imprint. They have contributed a remix in their own unique funkystyle.

Mark August presents "The Wasps From Tunisia And The Silver Piggy"
Connaisseur Recordings CNS027-6
It’s been a while since the last release by Mark August on Connaisseur, but now he’s back with an extraordinary one. Two tracks, both like a fairytale of a country far, far away. A fable, with mystic and mysterious animals and creatures, might best describe what Mark had in mind while working on the tracks.
The Wasps From Tunisia And The Silver Piggy – The main track on this release is an uncommon piece of music. It starts moody and with a stoic pumping beat, yet also a somehow laidback feeling. It then unexpectedly and surprisingly builds up to a monster of a track, working manically towards its climax. Then however, over the length of the track, it completely transforms again, coming back to its beginning, as though nothing had ever happened. Scorpion’s Groove is a deep and dubby affaire. Many themes subtly work against each other, creating a very special atmosphere in their mergence. Not a peaktime track, but excellent for opening a set.
TRACKS:
A: The Wasps From Tunisia And The Silver Piggy (8:09)
B: Scorpion’s Groove (7:45)

Tigerskin presents new single "Bordeaux"
Dirt Crew Recordings 029
Tigerskin Follows up his massive summer hit record „Peterʼs Secret Weapon“ with this new and exciting single „Bordeaux“. Itʼs a genre breaking deep tech-house mover with a great vocal and spacious analog sound excursions. Quite a housy touch for Tigerskin this time but still in his own unique style.
The other side features one of Tigerskinʼs highlights this year, already released as a digital only track with the „Collection 02“ CD in september we now bring you this beauty to vinyl. Platin is a minimal track as only Alex Krueger can make ʼem, sheer power and with a magical breakdown in the middle that will get the crowds screaming for more...
As a digital bonus we give you another great new track from Alex that is more laidback and deep with a great old school vibe to it !

P.Toile presents new ep "Migration"
channels rec 006-6
Here it is!! Second ep by Berlin producer and dj P.toile on Channels Records.
Her last record had a great feedbacks from producers and dj’s all over the world. This time Claudia together with Tigerskin aka Alex Kruger produced amazing chilled and deep track Migration. Nice melodies, clock like hihats and delayed vocals making the tracks great for early morning parties.
Remixes are made by Koljah known from his great Vidab releases and Marcin Czubala from Mobilee Records. Both mixes are amazing mixtures of techno, house and minimal. Great tools for every dj.
P.toile is a Berlin-based Dj and Producer, very active and respected on the local scene, as well as to international panorama thank to the raising quality of her productions. She releases on Trenton, Drehstrom, Gold & Liebe, Channels Recordings and Mothership are especially speaking to a more mature and music conscious audience, with her productions ranging from down-tempo, to up-lifting minimal techno, via airy emotional house, always spiced up with some funk.

gowentgone presents new EP "under the bridge"
Vidab 08
Recording some new love music: after the unforgettable „Vollkontakt E.P.“ (Vidab 02), labelheads Stephan „The Fist“ Hill and Oliver „The Brain“ Deutschmann are back together as „Gowentgone“ to once again save Deep House from it's sophisticated isolation, getting him back on track. The message comes thru with „Love & Respect“, being the mastertrack of the whole record and setting the standards: a bulletproof foundation made of bass and beats presents itself as a perfect stage for heroic drones opening the spaces without becoming too declamatory. Throw in some relaxed sermon by a guy called wisdom, add that little extra swing with some fancy hihats and there you go. The self explanatory tool version frames the experience albeit with more twitching and some healthy rumble, becoming best friends with those who play. Inbetween, we find the sleeper of the record, ready to hit anytime, anywhere, the secret hit, hidden in fumes: „Point Blank“ makes the chords drip like honey and knows its way to the promised land, where percussion is always a good decision and euphoria is induced by knowledge and the right dosage. That's how we love and live, in this house.
tracklisting:
01 love and respect
02 point blank
03 love and respect (respected tool)

Vinyl: 17.11.2008

Heinrichs & Hirtenfellner present new EP"Tromp it"
supdub 006
“beat simply from the street”
.....this is how the founders Lars Heinrichs & Sascha Hirtenfellner see themselves and their music. A sentence that runs like a thread through the label Supdub until now. Initially meant as a personal playground, Supdub now, with it's fifth release, moves out of this shadow and wants to provide a platform in the future for artists who live and celebrate the same.

Todd Bodine presents new EP "unexpected life-form"
Highgrade 056
Todd Bodine demonstrates with this EP once again extraordenary taste and skills. After a very successfull excursion on Claude van Strokes Mothership label and his activities as a heavily booked live-act and DJ he presents on „Unexpected life-form“ two brilliant tracks, that seem to burst with their energy.
Todd Bodine apparently has gained a lot of experience how to bunch the impact on both the dancefloor and the musical side and how to turn the result into a wall of sound. And he‘s doing it by following his own unique style. On the A-side „Calypso“ captivates you right after a few seconds with it‘s pulsating sequences and a subtle growing energy-level from break to break. Developing a drive which won‘t miss it‘s impact on any floor.
„Snakeskin“ on the flip is homogeneously build around shimmering melody-sequences which create the energy of this track, while the bassline below pulsates warm and deep. Sounds like: Detroit without kitsch. Or like a cross between Matthew Johnson, Robert Hood and Fabrice Lig. To put it in other words: a typical Todd Bodine release in the best sense. Allready a true highlight in the Highgrade-catalogue in 2008!
